Meet Your Partner
I’m Chris. I spent 21 years in the Army, 18 of them in special operations. My final role was leading mobility modernization for Army Special Forces, working directly with companies trying to bring capability to the force.
What I saw, over and over, was talented companies struggling to find their footing. Not because their technology or product wasn't good, but because they didn't understand how the government works, how acquisitions actually happen, or how the capability development process moves from idea to fielded solution.
After leaving the Army, I worked for a strategy consultancy helping companies develop and execute strategies to do business with the U.S. government. That work confirmed what I'd already seen firsthand: there are a lot of companies with high upside that just need a partner who understands both sides, the government's problems and the company's capabilities, to help them find the way forward.
North Star Strategy is that partner.
I'm a Tar Heel through and through, with an MBA from UNC Kenan-Flagler. Away from work, you'll find me on a motorcycle, spending time with my wife and our two dogs, or watching the Philadelphia Eagles on Sundays. I know, I know, Eagles fans have a reputation. I'd like to say I'm the exception. I'm not.
